After wasting a bunch of time thinking about it, I decided to install Aircraft Extras hardware to take care of providing anchor points. I won't ever crank on these, so their light duty will be okay. I'm holding off installing the blind rivets for now, so I can make cut lines in the carpet first.
Anchors are just hinge material with holes drilled in them. Should work fine.
