I needed to locate the aft canopy strut brackets. Some guys use a piece of angle. I decided to use a wooden paint stir stick and drill holes in the appropriate spots. That helped me locate everything in accordance to the brackets. Drilled the holes after that and added 1/8th inch extra distance for padding.
