Brief Description:  Bond Canopy to Frame

It took me a couple of days to get the process down and to get up the nerve to do it. I ordered my Sika Flex and all the cleaner and primer to go with it. I studied for days trying to lean everything I'd need to know to do a good job. I thought I had it but I was wrong..... The job turned out OK but just OK. My Sika bead was uneven around the canopy and looked like crap. When I pulled the tape off that was to be the finished edge a little sika had gotten up onto it and it fell back down onto the filleted bead. I was able to sand it smooth after it cured for a few days but I'm still not at all pleased. I spoke with Mr Todd who made my canopy and he said no to worry about the cosmetics of it as long as I had a good bond. He mentioned that the Extra folks use Epoxy and Micro Ballons to make a very good looking fillet to trim out their canopies. Oh well, I try that later.... Im not going to worry about it right now..... I had to change phones and lost all the pictures of what went on........and thats a good thing! I'll post pictures when I get it right!
