Before final assembley I wanted to fix the tank pillowing problem. I studied VAF for months to figure out just what to do. I decided to install extra plate nuts in between each one that was already there. I was a little fearful of trying to install a shim under the splice plate, i remembered how much trouble it was to het that sucker in there to start with. Plus, i thought the extra screws set opposite the rivet pattern would look better anyway.... It does... I'm thinkin aboiut using all stailess stell screw after paint for looks... I think this will help set it off, not mention the added strength in the joint....
