Brief Description: Installed nut plates for battery cage
My original concept to hold the battery cage in place was to simply bolt it to the airframe. After repeatedly needing to removed the battery for one reason or another, it became evident that it was very awkward and time consuming to remove the bolts, since the nut side was blind to the front of the aircraft.
I decided to replace the standard nuts with nut plates. I riveted them in place with A5 rivets, and replaced the battery cage.
This took longer than it should have, since the nut plates were blind to the front of the aircraft.
