Right wing bottom skins riveted - 7 hours
Tonight dad and I got both bottom skins riveted to the wing. Lots of reaching long distances and "blind bucking" (bucking the rivets without being able to see them). All in all it went well. We did have issues with the gap between the bottom skins and the leading edge skin / tank skin early in the process, but we 100% clecoed the row of holes that attach the skins to the main spar and this helped - the gap is minimal and even non-existent in some places, and will easily be filled by paint. Now I've got to come up with a way to hang this puppy from the ceiling so it will be out of the way. The wing is 99% complete, not counting controls. So what's left to do?

* Inspection opening covers
* Wingtip fiberglass fitting work
* Build the aileron
* Build the flap
* Build push tubes for ailerons
* Rig controls to neutral
* Pull wires for wingtip lights

So it's 99% complete, 90% to go, haha. That's a pretty common theme with building an airplane. Anyhow, here's a picture of the bottom wing skins riveted.

Stored Right WIng - 2 hours
Today dad and I finished installing the access covers on the bottom of the wing. We squeezed all the rivets attaching the nutplates, then screwed the covers in place. The wing is complete, except for the line of rivets that will hold the flap hinge, which cannot be completed until the flap is built and rigged. For now, it will just have clecos holding it together.

After completing the wing, we decided to store it on the ceiling, to maximize room in the shop. We ran eye-bolts through 2x4's in the ceiling that span across the rafters, then hung the wing from them using ratchet straps. The ratchet straps hold the wing on rib-rivet lines. We used rags to pad the ratchet straps where they meet skin edges. We put blankets on top of the wing, and just barely snugged the wing up to the ceiling to prevent movement. We now have lots of room in the shop!

Finally, I pulled out the left wing
