Wing Skins & Leading Edge - 4 hours
Today I started by finishing deburring the main wing skin I had started on the last time I was in the shop. I had initially started doing the scarf joint where the skins would overlap, but after reading some, I have decided to not do a scarf joint and instead notch the inboard skin, like Brian Chesteen did here. After deburring, I dimpled.I ended up mis-dimpling one hole, but I think it can be fixed with an oversize rivet at assembly. I also finally finished cleaning the proseal off the exterior of the tank. I'm officially done with the tank. Except maybe for shaving down a few of the rivets, but that will have to wait until I get a rivet shaver.

Dad came out after breakfast, and we were able to get the leading edge riveted together. We checked the wing for twist again with plumb bobs (haven't done this since mounting it in the jig), and I'm glad we did - there was 1/8" of twist over the length of the wing. We took out the twist and then clecoed the leading edge to the main spar. Now it's ready to be riveted in place, and then the top skins will go on. This wing is nearing completion!
