Closing the Fuel Tank - 3 hours
Tonight dad and I read the directions, talked about it, then jumped into sealing up the tank. We started by mixing a large batch of proseal (230g + 23g - this turned out to be too much to use before it started to get really stringy), putting it in a zip-lock bag like the instructions tell you, then applying a bead in the prescribed areas.

We put globs of sealant in the corners, and small smears around all the rivet holes on the rib flanges. Then we dropped the baffle into place and 100% clecoed the bottom to the skin, ensuring the holes were aligned. After that, we had to straighten the tank up a little (think trying to get a trapezoid to become a square) and 100% cleco the top to the skin. Next we installed the pop rivets, then the z-brackets got pop riveted on, then we squeezed the rivets that hold the end rib flanges to the baffle. We then removed every other cleco on the baffle/skin and riveted those, then removed the remaining clecos and riveted the rest.

Finally, we installed the fuel level sensor and the access plate with proseal. With the little proseal left over, I put a bead along the baffle/skin joint on the outside and smoothed it out with my finger.

Leak Testing - 0 hours
I purchased stuff to do leak testing - an AN929 cap for the vent line (there is already one on the fuel return line), a nut/sleeve setup for a short piece of 3/8" aluminum tube that will go on the fuel pickup, some 3/8" ID clear vinyl tubing, a hose clamp, and some EZ-turn to help seal up the fuel cap.

I have decided to use the short piece of aluminum on the fuel return to hopefully prevent a leak there, as I have seen others have. I plan to torque the caps down to spec. I am going to make a manometer to test the tank.

Leak Test & Leading Edge - 3 hours
Tonight I leak tested my right tank. I started by capping off the fuel vapor return and vent lines with AN929's and torqued to spec. Then I installed the fuel cap and fuel drain fitting with a l
