9/21/2008 Tank - 3 hours I spent quite a long time today cleaning the cured sealant from the exterior of the tank with MEK. I decided to leave the proseal on the outside of the tank and not try wiping it off while it was workable - this was a mistake. I think next time I will try to clean off as much as possible while it is still workable. Anyhow, with some elbow grease it cleaned up fine:
I mixed up a small batch of sealant and sealed the rivet heads on one stiffener that I missed, along with the AN470AD6 rivet in the tooling hole in the outboard rib:
