Fuel Tank - 4 hours
I did a lot of staring at the plans today and thinking, but I did get some things done.

First I marked and drilled the holes in the tank attach angle / rib / reinforcing plate. I had to modify the shape of the attach angle a little to get the angle positioned correctly. I also had to lay out the six rivets to clear the nut for the AN fitting since I'm using flop tubes. The picture doesn't show very clearly, but there is plenty of room for the nut to clear the rivets. Also, since I am using flop tubes, I will be mounting my fuel sender in the second bay. The wing kit I purchased came with standard access plates with the holes already in them for the sender. Instead of ordering new ones, I am thinking of just riveting a small plate in place over the hole in the ones I have.

Next I laid out the fuel cap and flange and match drilled it to the skin.

Then I made the vent line clip from a piece of scrap. I went ahead and made one for the other tank and just stuck it in the box with the other fuel cap.

The clip match drilled and fitted into place.

Finally, I match drilled the fuel drain flange.

Fuel Tank - 2 hours
Tonight I borrowed a fly-cutter and some tank dimple dies from Vern. I cut the access hole in the inboard rib, then fabricated and installed the stiffening ring with nutplates.

I started dimpling stiffeners and ribs and got about halfway through.
