Brief Description: Finished Tail Spring Mount and Continued Checking
I finished installing and fitting the WD-409 tail spring mount by drilling the appropriate bolt holes and "keeper" rivet holes for attachment to the rear-most bulkhead. I made a shim to include with the attachment to provide a tighter fit for the tail spring mount between bulkheads. I'm going to have the mount powder coated before permanent installation and before riveting the bulkheads.
I continued throught the standard build instructions to verify the quickbuild work. I put "rivets to nowhere" in the pilot holes in the forward side skins for the optional steps that I'm not going to install.
Next I gathered the required material to be used in making the spacers and reinforcement angle for the fuel tank attachment brackets.
