I decided to cover the glareshield with a vinyl fabric. I purchased a "kit" from Cleaveland Tools which also included a coping that would fit over the sharp edge of the glare shield. It makes a neat package. The fabric was glued down with 3M glue and rolled over the edge and finished with the coping.
