Brief Description: Matched rudder skins to skeleton
Well I took some time off and I'm back at it again. During that time I built a break to put the final bend in the rudder and elevator skins. The break was made out of a couple of 2X6 boards and hinges. It seems to work just fine. You have to put a lot of pressure on the break to get the skins to bend. To avoid creasing the skins, I put a 1/16th inch dowl in the bend as recommended by VANS. It works fine.Put the final bend in the rudder skin and built the jig for the rudder. Mated the skins to the skeleton and drilled the holes for the ribs.
