Installed the fuel valve bracket using the outboard screws. Marked out and drilled the inboard holes and machine countersunk for flush screws.
Deburred the edges of the mid cabin covers and installed them with a couple of screws to ensure alignment. Match drilled the two #19 holes in each cover that are common with the auxiliary longerons.
Marked the location of the fuel valve handle holes in the left cover and drilled them.
Drilled, machine countersunk and riveted the nutplates to the auxiliary longerons. We had a couple of drill-outs while trying to rivet these nutplates as it is impossible to get the rivet set flush on the rivet head. We ended up using a Vice Grip with the jaws ground flat to set the rivets with acceptable results. In retrospect it would have been much easier to attach these nutplates with blind rivets.
