Brief Description: Installed the tail spring mount
Final drilled the F-804N-1 bulkhead caps and removed them from the fuselage.
Match drilled the rudder stops and #40 nutplate attachment holes in the aft side skins.
Match drilled #30 the two bolt holes common between the F-811 bulkhead assembly, WD-409 tail spring mount and the shims after aligning and clamping as per instructions.
Cut out the aft bottom skin to clear the tail spring mount using the full scale template provided. The template profile had to be modified substantially to clear the welding on the tail spring mount and it took about five iterations to get it right. Fitting the aft bottom skin is not easy so this took much longer than expected!
Drilled the 3/32 hole in the aft bottom skin to 3/4 to provide access to the tail wheel mounting nut.
