Brief Description: Drilled the elevator horns for center bearing
Measured the elevator up and down travel with our smart level and determined that the bottom of the HS-603PP required trimming to allow the elevator horns enough swing.
Removed the center bearing and then marked out, trimmed and deburred the bottom flange.
Double checked the protrusion of the rod end bearings as per Detail D, DWG 5 as this will determine the location of the hole in the elevator horns.
Reinstalled the center bearing and RH elevator to the horizontal stab and clamped the elevator "in trail"
Fabricated a drill bushing and drilled the RH elevator horn as per instructions.
Repeated the above steps for the LH elevator and then drilled and reamed the holes to final size.
