Marked out a centerline on the aft deck to align the horizontal stab with.
Leveled the fuselage side to side and front to back and loosely clamped the horizontal stab in position as per instructions.
Checked the level of the horizontal stab. We had to add a shim to the LH F-810E spacer to get it perfectly level.
Clamped the horizontal stab in position and match drilled #30 the rear spar using the two holes in each stab attach bar as a guide.
We were concerned about the 1/8" hole pattern offset in the stab attach bars - see log entry "Tailcone bulkheads" dated 26/10/08 - but the edge distance on the horizontal stab rear spar turned out to be more than adequate.
