Brief Description:  Installed front seatback support

Fortunately we had read on Jeff Preou's kitlog about the problems he had installing the front seatback support so we made sure everything was clamped properly before drilling.

For some reason the cutout in the spacers provided didn't match the location of the tube on the seatback support. We ended up beveling the spacer to clear the welding on the seatback support so it could lie flat.

We then installed the seatback support using bolts in the upper holes to ensure that it was pulled up tight against the support plates. After removing the cockpit rails to double check everything it was clear that the sides of the fuselage needed to be clamped to close the 1/4" gap between the support plate and bulkhead on each side. Unfortunately we didn't have a clamp that was long enough so we had to devise an alternative with two G-clamps and a piece of cargo strap. It took some serious clamping force to get everything to line up for drilling.

Match drilled the seatback support, spacers and cockpit rails as per instructions.
