Now for the corrosion protection, First the scrub with alumiprep (Phosphoric Acid) using a scotchbrite pad, to clean the surfaces of all parts. Then, after a thorough rinse, the immersion of the parts into the alodine for about 90 secs followed by another rinse. Results were a little mixed on the first attempt (probably inadequate cleaning) so a few parts were given a second treatment - re-scrubbed and re-dipped. Results are now very satisfactory.
