Brief Description:  Finished Rudder, Continued Elevators

Riveted Rudder trailing edge. I started off using the back rivet set with the spring loaded delrin. This left smileys on the skin. I stopped after doing 3 of them and emailed Vans and Cleaveland Tool. Turns out I misread. I needed to use the small flat set that is used in the C-Table. This worked very well, except the shank broke off inside and I had to hold the flat set everytime I used it. Can't get the o-ring broken shaft out.

Rolled the leading edge of the Rudder. THIS SUCKED! I used the u-bolts, a broom handle (0.93"), duct tape and vice grips. It was easy to roll all the way to the Spar, but it just doesn't line up together. It took a lot of hand manipulation to get them together. Very easy to blind rivet. I did NOT debur, since I used the reamer to match drill each hole and just left everything clecoed together and riveted. The rivet heads are NOT all flush to the skin and the channel formed by the bent parts, is not uniform in shape..... I don't think it's an issue, but I emailed Vans just to get their input. Waiting on a reply.

Began deburring and smoothing the edges of both Elevators - prepping for priming. Monotonous but at least I can't mess it up! lol

Vans replied saying to check on a method for rolling using a socket glued on the inside of an aluminum closet rod. Homework....
