Brief Description:  Moved Wing to Bench, Assembled Aileron Brackets

Attended the montly EAA Meeting. Took both Ailerons and Flaps for some more eyes on them. Found two external Rivet Gun induced smileys. Not bad enough to replace. One pull rivet head was too thin and needs to be removed. Need to remove a couple of smileys near both Aileron Counterweights from smileys during the pulling process. Otherwise, the concensus was that my work is good and no glaring issues. Rick mentioned I need to get the fingerprints off before they etch the aluminum. I did what I could as soon as I got home. The Empennage parts were VERY tough to remove the prints. The more recent parts were easy to remove.

Moved the Left Wing to the workbench with Dad's help.

Riveted all four Aileron Brackets. Needed to round the tops of them to fit the spar/flange radius on the Wing's rear spar. Riveted the inboard Bracket to the Rear Spar. Very hard to do without smileys next to rivets. I ordered Snap-Socs and: Inspection Mirror, No Mar Drill stops, long #30 Rivet set, Mini-Vac, rivet tape, and bushing for ailerons from Brown ($108.50).

Clecoed the Flap Brace and Aileron Gap Fairing. The fit was good, but the AGF pulled the top Skin towards it. Maybe that piece of skin needs to bend inwards a little on both top skins???
