Brief Description: Installed L Fuel Tank Stiffeners, Fuel Cap/Drain
Used Proseal for the first time. What a FUN job! Installed all Left Fuel Tank Stiffeners and the fuel drain with Proseal buttered on the bottom of each one and then back riveted into place. Tried installing the Fuel Cap, but messed up 3 rivets and the Vent Hanger was too close to the neck of the filler, so I couldn't rivet it. Need to make a new one with a longer flange to allow the backriveting tool to fit over the shop head.
Smashed rivets way too small on several heads today, but in non structural areas. Need to lower the PSI on the compressor for these -3 rivets.....
Broke the Tank Holder, so need to repair it before installing the ribs.
Bought a drywall hawk to try to help with mixing tomorrow.
Roughed up/deburred holes in the Left Bottom Skins in preparation for dimpling. Dimpled one rib on the bottom main wing to show my dad how it works.
