Brief Description: EAA Tech Counselor Review - Bud Smith
First Meeting with the EAA Tech Counselor - Bud Smith.
Reviewed a few questions I had on build quality. Told to build on that the work was very good. One rivet that was questionable on the Rudder Trailing Edge needed to be drilled out and replaced with a Blind Rivet due to space limitations.
Discussed things coming down the road:
- Fuel Tank Sealant - Let set up under ribs before riveting to save on mess. - Fuel Caps - Trade Default for Locking - Fuel Pickups and Oil Sump needed for Aerobatics - Rivet forward panels on Fuselage BEFORE working on Cowlings - Rudder Trim ideas - bungie - Discussed fiberglass fairings.
