After getting motivated and speaking with Eric at Van's, I tried bending the Elevator trailing edges again. First I tried using the edge away from the hinges. No luck as there wasn't enough mechanical advantage and my boards weren't as straight there. So I looked at the brake closer, and found the hinges I used automatically made a small gap in the boards next to the hinges. I used some bigger and flatter hinges from HD and then screwed the overhanging hinge holes (Yep the outer two holes of each hinge was too wide and overhung. Perfect to screw it to the table. Anyway, after getting the edges flush (almost - maybe 1/16" gap), I squeezed the Elevators again. Just squeeze until the flanges touch, and BAM, done. Look 100% better.....
