Dimpled VS Skin. Riveted ribs to forward spar. Riveted this assembly to skin Riveted aft spar to skin and ribs.
The end rivets that attach the top rib to the rear spar need more thought. Similar issue as the H.S. Despite best efforts to keep the two pieces tight with Cleco clamps, and putting good pressure on the rivet, the 0.002 feeler gauge just barely goes in to the rivet shank or really close to it.
Spoke with Bud Smith (EAA Tech Counselor). He'll swing by soon (maybe this weekend) to give this a look over and help me with some questions. Need to get a list of questions together to maximize the value of the visit and minimize the follow on questions to him after he leaves.
Received new drill, bucking bar, OOPS rivets, rivet drill out tool (with bits), and right angle drill (with bits). Need to mail back the other drill and bucking bar, as well as the ends of the failed airhose. All packed up and ready to send out for a refund.
