Used the 0.040 aluminum from ACS to fabricate a new 2.5" flange strip to hold the Skybolt fasteners. The joint turned out very nice. Ended up removing the forward most fastener from the strip and will place it on its own flange. Having it on the long flange strip was interfering with the curve of the cowling and creating a gap. Fabricated, fit, and riveted the strips in place. Looks good!
