Brief Description:  Wing tapes

Burned the holes in the covering at the wing tips to take the rivets that hold on the wingtip aluminum mounts and nut plates. Trimmed the fabric and hysoled and riveted them in place. Then I mixed some polybrush and started to lay the rib tapes. It went down just like the manual says with me cutting to make the ends but up against other tapes to be invisible. Then I started cutting the two inch tapes in half to cover the false ribs which are thinner. The pinking shears, which are scissors that cut in a sawtooth pattern for fabric adhesion, don't cut straight lines very well for long distances. I managed to make them loook ok. but not the best. Shouldn't be notices by anyone just looking for straight lines, but the teeth don't line up well. The last picture is my first two rib tapes. The false ribs have just been pre coated with polybrush for better adhesion later.
