Refit the cowling and marked the edges for sanding. I used the belt sander and it took it down nicely. Lots of fiberglass dust though. Re drilled some of the holes in the back of the cowling and it lines up pretty well now. The spinner backplate is still too close to the cowling, but I will try to bond something in th nose to pull it back slightly and straighten it out. Drilled and clecoed all the holes in the cowling but need to move a few on the firewall top to make them work with the camlocks. Still more to do with lots of fiberglass dust to come.
