Brief Description: Attach wings, weight & balance
A busy day at my new hangar. First, I set up the hangar shelves and workbench. I then found a nearby hangar mate to give me a hand attaching the wings (not too bad, took about 15 minutes). Attached the wheel pants, fairings, and strobe lights. Weighed the plane using the EAA 690 digital scales -- very nice. Empty weight came in at 687 lbs (163 nose, 258 left, 266 right). All those "extra features" I installed add up - luggage compartment, removeable panel, transponder, fire extinguisher, strobe pack, etc.
Had several very heavy thunderstorms pass through -- glad I was in a hangar! Still to do -- rig the flaps and ailerons, connect the pitot pickup and tubing, engrave and attach the dataplate.
