Brief Description: New Fence Baffle Cooling System
I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to the new cooling system while the project was still in the shop. It gets pretty hot down here in Georgia, compared to Wisconsin. I wish this came out 6 months ago when I was struggling with the box baffle system. Oh well, what's another 25 hours or so at this point? The new baffle kit comes with minimal instructions, but if you've gotten this far in your project you shouldn't have any problems with it. The front corner pieces were a pain to fit though. The rear panel doesn't seal very well around the starter opening, so I just used some aluminum tape to close it off a bit more. I left the old baffle material on the oil cooler opening, as the oil cooler design doesn't appear to have changed. I just heard that a 20 amp alternator upgrade will be available soon too. Given that I have strobes and a transponder, that's probably in my future too.
