Got a lot accomplished today. The case halves went together fairly easily. You definitely want to take it slowly and doublecheck everything as you go along. The assembly manual can be pretty cryptic at times. I found Jeff Schultz's Aerovee writeup to be very helpful in addition to the manual. I also had a copy of Tom Wilson's book on the bench too. I borrowed a piston ring compressor from a co-worker. It was a lot easier to use compared to the one that is included in the kit, which is just a piece of spring steel. The deck height on all of my pistons was .000. I set them up for 7.5:1 CR, which will allow me to run 95 octane mogas or 100 LL.
