I've put it off long enough, time to finally rivet the glare shield in place. The forward 6 bolts were a bear to get bolted in place, as you have to be a contortionist to hold the nuts while your helper tightens the screws. It helps to glue the washers to the nuts, and use some plastic tubing to temporarily hold the nuts in place while your helper turns the screws. Later I went back and painted the rivets flat black. With the shield in place I figured I might as well install the fuel drip pan and vent line. I used silicone to seal the tray -- a clamp is holding the upper lip in place. I decided against a drain...I'll just use a rag to mop up any fuel spills.
