I mounted the ACS gascolator on the firewall. The location was per plans on the horizontal axis, but I had to move it up about 1/2" vertically to ensure that everything was above the cowling line. I spent a lot of time at Ace Hardware trying to find some thin nuts that I could put on the gascolator fuel fittings to hold it fast to the bracket. I really didn't want to just shim it per plans. I found some brass nuts in the electrical department. They were in a "lamp parts" hardware tray. I cleaned them up a bit with a tap, and filed them down to about 1/8" in thickness. They worked perfectly on the fittings to lock the gascolator in place.Fitting the tubing was pretty straightforward. It needed a few bends, and you need to measure it carefully. A little filing and reflaring and it fitted fine. I used Permatex teflon thread sealant on all of the fittings as others have recommended.
