The bottom cowl heat shield is a Reflective Heat Shield from Thermal Velocity. It should reflect up to 90% of the exhaust pipe heat though it is heavier than the Vans’ heat foil which was used on the top cowling. The Thermal Velocity product which is specially designed for high performance engine comparments is most impressive.
The most difficult job was the forming of the neoprim sleeve that connects the Air Induction to the Cowling.
