The Odyssey battery is to be mounted on the firewall to ensure as short as possible power cable to the starter. An oxygen bottle and remote transponder will be placed in the location of the rear battery mount for the sake of the C of G. A new designed battery box was fabricated owing to there being no reasonable one available, the Vans one is an embarrassment. Using a local metal folding firm a sample one was made. It looks impressive. A few minor alterations will be made before the final one is made in 4130 steel sheet.
