The ignition timing for the E-Mag P model was set up using the E-Mag manual, no big problem. The key was to use the Lycoming ‘TDC’ markings on the rear of the fly wheel. Thankfully, owing to a website that documented this, the markings on the front were not used and the possible enjoyment of spending a couple of hours cogitating over a non-firing engine is now rather remote. The Manifold tube was secured to the sender using a model jet engine fitting and clamp which are designed for just this; they are designed for high temperature engine environments and guaranteed no leakage.
