The Lycoming engine is a YIO-360-MIB Thunderbolt and rather impressive, things became less impressive after this. The mounting was frustrating as advertised and the problems thereafter began. Vans' instructions unlike some advise are correct in calling for the lower engine bolts to be installed first and the top bolts with the help of the engine hoist installed last.
The problem then started, the bowden cables were the wrong lengths called out be vans, the oil filter conflicted with the engine mount and so it went on.
