Brief Description: Firewall / Fwd Floor Ass. Fisheye
As usual the platenuts were installed after the Alocroming of the Firewall parts; this can be a bit rushed in order to apply the paint within 24 hours to ensure good chemical bonding between the paint and Alocom 1200. Plastic gloves are worn during this process and the parts cleaned with Acetone. But on this occasion contamination occurred and the parts suffered from fisheye. I suspect this was caused by oil contaminating the exhaust air of the pneumatic rivet squeezer after putting a drop of oil into that morning. These parts were abraded with scochtbright, cleaned with acetone and repainted.
