The passenger control stick bumped into the pilot’s seat when pushed forward after all was assembled. All the measurements on the control columns and bellcranks checked out fine. Probably, a combination of factors such as the non-Vans’ seats and the kit being of a later version combined to make this problem. A new stick was purchased from Vans which was slightly bent (< 5 ˚) on a commercial bending jig. This resulted in proper clearance fore and aft.
