The combination of the fuel selector mount, the spacer and the console panel resulted in too greater depth of material for the Andair Fuel Selector to mount properly. This resulted in the selector being able to turn freely from the OFF position to one of the Wing Tank positions without the stop engaging. This was totally unacceptable. So, the selector was altered to allow it to seat lower on the fuel facia ring by milling the front and the rear of the selector. All a bit messy but the result was robust when completed.
