The Vans’ Aileron stops seem difficult to assemble accurately whereas the some builders have used a Teflon stop on the control rod. These look simple and accurate to manufacture and assemble. A Teflon rod was drilled and a thick wall tube inserted to give good wear and stop the Teflon being crushed. Remarkably, once assemble the range of movement of the aileron came out perfect to 0.1 degree without any alteration.
