Wives and passengers are notorious for complaining about the draft in their necks whilst in the back of an RV-8; cause in main by that devilish canopy cut-out in the rear. A slider was made from a preformed 0.04” sheet. This was adhered to the canopy using a cabsol / mill fibre resin mix. The yellow tape in the picture just makes it easy to remove the rubber tape prior to painting. The canopy skirts will also have a rubber seal added after painting.
