Grove’s Inboard Main Gear Attach Bracket comes with the AN7 hole drilled, unlike the Van’s one; what a relief, this makes life easy. An aluminium solid section was clamped to the wheel axel, with the AN 7 bolt in the Inboard Main Gear Attach Bracket the gear legs come into line. This was confirmed by measuring the distance from the legs to the tail. The remaining holes were then drilled; not a stressed moment unless you install the legs per Van’s instructions. The Landing Gear Cover Plate was altered to accommodate the Grove legs; the fairings will cover the Outer Attach Bracket. Note the fuel vent line is sat in a bushing and kept tight to the cover.
