At last, after a year the Wings and Empennage are finished except for the Pitot tubing and final wiring. A ‘SafeAir1’ kit from Avery for Pitot and Static installation will be used; the tubing will be installed from the pitot head to the instrument panel without a break. This will cut down on possible leaky joints that are so common.
Unpacking the Fuselage kit took a day or so, though being lazy and trusting Vans, who to date have been ultra efficient, I shamefully did not do a parts check on the hardware.
