Brief Description: R.Wing Skeleton Assembly Short Cuts
Once the left wing was top skinned with the leading edge fitted and place in the wing jig stand the right wing parts were set up. The Main Spar and Ribs were completely prepared, sprayed and assembled. The top wing shins attached with clecos. This ensured the wing was not drooping in the middle. The set was checked with level strings, strong fishing line works best. The finished leading edge installed. And various tasks such as the new holes in the inboard end ribs drilled were some holes are discarded.
The US Clecos on the aileron brackets do not have enough depth to hold all the parts together, the old UK type clecos work well in this instance.
