Brief Description:  Bellcrank Final Ass'y and Pitot Tube Decision

Final adjustments were made and torque was set on the Bellcrank to Aileron Pushrod and the Bellcrank. With everything in place and smooth operation checked, Torque-Seal was applied to all of the bellcrank nuts and Pushrod Jam Nuts. The Long Pushrod (Shown in Image 2) will not be final adjusted until wings are connected to the Fuselage. The are two brackets that hold the Bellcrank in place and are bolted to the Main Spar Web. Those bolts screw into Platenuts on the opposite side of the Spar Web. A higher torque value had to be calculated due to the Torque 'Tare' required to overcome the resisting force of screwing into the Platenut. Final calculated Torque applied was 40-42 in/lbs to those bolts. Torque Seal was applied.
Before proceeding with the fabrication and installation of the Pitot Tube and Fittings, I decided to look into the Heated Pitot options available. I think it would be best to install the Dynon Heated Pitot/AOA combination unit. (AOA is the Angle of Attack sensor).
