Brief Description: Right Wing Flap Brackets and Details
Finishing up a few details on the Right Wing: All the rest of the Top Skin -> Rear Spar rivets were set (Image 1). The Aileron Brackets were riveted to the Right Wing Rear Spar. The procedure for installing the Flap Brackets is a bit more complex than the Aileron Brackets. All three Flap Brackets must be carefully aligned with each other during assembly. I used a very fine guage magnet wire stretched from the outer Flap Brackets through the Center Bracket. Image 2 shows the wire nicely centered in the Center Bracket. The W-925B Angles have been drilled and countersunk to recieve the skin dimples. Everything is now aligned and ready for the rivets to the Ribs from the Hinge Brackets and Angles to be driven.
