Brief Description:  Rivet Training with Ishan

I started to rivet one or two Aileron Brackets to one of the Wings then decided to hold off until the Wing Skins were riveted onto the wing. Those brackets could make some of the Wing Skin rivets difficult to reach. I spent about 90 minutes orienting my neighbor's son, Ishan. Ishan volunteered to help me rivet the Wing Skins... which requires two workers. We practiced various riveting techniques on scrap aluminum until he felt comfortable with riveting. He is now also familiar with Clecos, Dimpliing, deburring and Match-Drilling. He understands the use of a rivet gauge and the importance of a well-formed shop head. Ishan learns quickly and seems to enjoy the task. Next time Ishan has the time, we will beging riveting the Wing Skins.
