Brief Description:  Right Tank and Leading Edge Work

The stripped screw was removed and removed one questionable rivet on the Right Tank. The Right Tank was removed and one questionable tank flange rivet was removed and replaced with more ProSeal. The Right Leading Edge Assembly was permanently attached to the Right Main Spar. The plans called for 470 type solid rivets to attach the Aft Leading Edge Flanges to the Main Spar Web. Reaching throught the lightening holes to hold a bucking bar or rivet gun seemed next to impossible, I called Van's tech line and asked if I could use Cherrymax Rivets instead. Eric said, "Absolutely!!"... I installed all 42 Cherry Rivets, pulling from the Aft side of the Main Spar Web. I actually used the CR3243 CherryMax Rivets which a little bit oversized from the normal CR3213.. I thought they might be a little stronger.Next the Leading Edge Assembly Skin has to be riveted to the Main Spar with about 100 426 flush rivets - easily done with the pneumatic squeezer. Major shop clean-up today.
