I decided to re-clean the forks and plates with alumiprep and then sprayed them with self-etching primer... looks much better. I began assembling and riveting the forks and plates to the spar but then decided to hold off until I get a shorter flat set for the rivet squeezer. The longer rivets cant be squeezed with the longer flat set I have. I might need a longeron yoke but I'm holding off. I'd rather wait for the new set instead of bucking these rivets. Little work on the plane today... I have a clogged gutter to clean and need to get the lawn tractor battery changed. Sorry, no pics today.
